The Melting Pot
2018 Melting Pot Dates
March 30 (Easter Dinner)
December 7 (Christmas Dinner)
Place: The Centre (777 Homer Street)
The Melting Pot is a sub-ministry under the umbrella of the Bridging the Gap ministry. The aim for The Melting Pot is two-fold: to serve a hot meal, in this case soup, to anyone who is hungry in the area around The Centre; and to serve the guests who come through The Centre's doors in such a way that ministers to their spiritual hunger, sharing the Gospel through our actions and words as we develop relationships with the men and women who attend.
The Melting Pot’s meal consists of two hot soups to choose from, a bun, a hot cup of coffee, and a cookie. This can either be eaten at The Centre or taken to go.
To help fund the meals you can purchase a Meal Token, a $5 token that can be purchased at The Connect Centre and the Cafe on Sunday mornings. This token is placed in a jar upon purchase to keep track of funds raised and to give Westsiders a visual representation of the number of meals they are helping to supply. If you'd like to give online you can do so on the GIVE page. Please select Benevolent from the drop-down menu and note that it is for The Melting Pot.
To get involved in The Melting Pot, join the Bridging The Gap Group on The City.
