Benevolent Ministry

"If among you, one of your brothers should become poor, in any of your towns within your land that the Lord your God is giving you, you shall not harden your heart or shut your hand against your poor brother, but you shall open your hand to him and lend him sufficient for his need, whatever it may be."

Deuteronomy 15:7-8

We believe that care for the poor, marginalized, and those in need is close to the heart of God. In both the Old and New Testaments we see God has a particular interest in the poor and those in need. No individual in our community should be without food, shelter, or other basic needs. Funded by the body at Westside, our Benevolent Fund is designed to help assist in meeting this need.
