Lent 2023
While Lent is traditionally a season of personal formation that includes fasting, prayer and reflection, this year we are taking this time to look outward. We’ll be using this opportunity to intercede on behalf of our city with both prayer and actions. In doing so, we’re contending not just for God’s Kingdom to come in our lives, but in the lives of the thousands of people who share our workplaces, community centres, apartment buildings, sidewalks, and more.
To do so, we’ll be shining a light on six of the idols that enslave our city and praying for God to move and for people to be set free, starting with us.

Overall, the goal is to spend the next number of weeks not just recognizing our own need of the gospel (as Lent is traditionally for) but embracing a burden for all those in our city who desperately need it too. It’s us, as a community, getting on our knees, and crying out for God’s kingdom to come, right here as it is in heaven (Matt. 6:10).
