A few short weeks ago, 300 women persevered along Highway 1 East to Harrison Hot Springs to spend a weekend seeking the Lord, becoming empowered in the Spirit and building relationships. It was an amazing celebration of all that God has done, leading us to anticipate all that He will do. We learned that we can be strong in the strength of His might (Ephesians 6:10) by standing on the firm foundation of His love, be being empowered by the Holy Spirit to walk in a manner worthy of His calling and by taking hold of the armour that He has provided us. Through all these things He forms us to be warriors, empowered to fight the battle daily. What an amazing message that is!
But we aren’t meant to do this alone. We were encouraged and challenged by three courageous women who shared their stories. These stories reminded us that God is present with us in every battle we find ourselves in and that we are not alone in those battles. These stories also reminded us that we need to add Kleenex boxes to every table :)
Throughout the weekend, women connected with one another over coffee, in the hot springs, and over meals. Established relationships were strengthened and new friendships were forged, reminding us who we battle alongside.
If you missed the retreat, you can listen to the speakers, the panel discussion, and the testimonies here. You can also watch the full length theme video that was created for the retreat.
My hope and prayer is that the Lord is continuing to empower us—with the same power that raised Christ from the dead—to be a warrior for His glory.
